EPBD, CRREM and stranding year: reading risk across a building portfolio

Three lenses on the same building
EPBD sets the regulatory direction and 2030/2033 minimum standards; the energy certificate describes the asset; CRREM compares its intensity with a sector pathway aligned with 1.5°C. Together they turn consumption and emissions into obsolescence risk.
What the stranding year means
It is the first year the building's intensity exceeds its CRREM pathway. It is not an automatic closure date, but a signal for measures, capex and lender dialogue. The calculation needs correctly versioned area, use, country, consumption and factors.
From asset to portfolio
A useful view shows current and projected stranding year, EPC gap, GAV exposed and data coverage. Voombu records building data and prepares GRESB from that same source; it does not issue certificates or submit on the manager's behalf.
